Hello,

I collected my MK4 Leon First Edition Yesterday, I've noticed that the sun visor courtesy light on the passenger side is always on when the visor is open regardless if the mirror is open or not, whereas the driver side one turns on when opening the mirror as expected.

Called the dealer and they said it was part of the wraparound/ambient lighting, does any one elses do the same?

Thank you

Seriously?

According to the manual ( or should that be Manuel?) page 130, for either drive or passenger side the light should come on and go off when you open and close the mirror cover. It' also states that "under certain conditions" the light is timed to go off after a few minutes minutes even if the cover is left open. I'm going with BigJase's diagnosis ( and I reckon the dealership is talking 'Cojones')

I think dealers try to fob you off.
A few years ago I bought a corsa from local Vauxhall dealer, their salesman had been driving it around.
I did a deal but took it back cos the clutch was smelling terrible.
They said it was my driving!
A mate worked as a technician for another Vauxhall dealer he had the clutch replaced under warranty.
Went back to first place told em they were full of ****.
