How much are slashed back box Milltek's?
My exhaust has started to blow and today it was confirmed that it's 7ucked. I'm wondering whether to stick with a replacement OEM at 190 squid fitted, or get a replacement if the prices are similar, but I can't find prices anywhere?

Phil i think, Shaun's blue one, was the one wih the exhaust at a wrong angle, he mentioned a reason, but i cant remember why.

So, about 186 squid all in, then fitting on top.
SEAT have quoted me 193 squid for a replacement fully fitted.

Would I see any benefits from changing the back box? Maybe just a better sound, but....?
PS. I defo don't want a loud exhaust - AKA Saxo, Corsa or Nova like

there will be no benefit from just a back box, but millteks aint loud systems so dont worry bout sound
only thing is, when i compared the standard backbox to the milltek, the connecting pipe to the centre section were'nt the same lengths (milltek was shorter)
this would mean it wouldnt have been a straight swap of the rear box as there would have been a gap between the connecting pipes

So can you hear a difference between standard and miltek? Surely the miltek sounds louder, and better throbing/burble? (I'm not talking boy racer)

I guess that answers the question for me then. Would've been nice to have a better exhaust sound/note, but if it's not a straight swap, it's gonna cost considerably more to get it fitted etc.
Ah well, looks like I'll be taking the standard route.
Unless of course, there's another manufacturer that do carry a standard swap that isn't boy racer like and looks standard?

200quid for a back box (u sure this is correct?) , id go for a cat back system every time!!!
am sure a supersprint system wouldnt be much more that 200, milltek is only 350ish and thats considered quite expensive

Well, I've just had the exhaust checked at another garage and they've confirmed the baffles have gone in the back box.
SEAT have quoted me 193 squid to buy and fit a SEAT backbox. 103 for the box and 90 quid fitting!
I've just been to another garage and they said whatever back box I get, they'll fit for 40 quid. So just trying to sort a back box now really.
I fancy a Milltek, but it's all about the dough

I use Autosol on the exhaust covered in a coat of Wolfgang sealant,

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but are the standard SEAT exhausts on MK3's stainless steal?
