Hi all

I have a 57 plate leon cupra in need of new suspension and what I am wanting is ur advice/ info on kits.
as u probably know my age of car are prone to be quite hard suspension wise(a general complaint of early models)and the roads being as good as they are don’t make the ride any nicer.looking for something I could maybe adjust if needed more the shock than the spring, and or kits that might improve the harshness of the
Ride as am running out of teeth to loose.lol.not wanting anything lowered or upgraded blah blah blah just
wanting a mor comfortable drive
taa

TBH, on a 13 year old car even if you replaced the stock suspension for original replacement parts I would have thought you'd notice the difference. Otherwise the only thing I could think of is to get coilovers and raise them near the top. Lower the car, harsher the ride. But even cheap coilovers aren't that cheap.

The facelift was supposed to have solved the mk2 comfort issues, you could try changing to those dampers and see if they’re any better?

How much are you looking to replace? Just the shocks and springs or the arms as well?
Have you checked if the rear alignment bolts are seized or not?

You can buy a kit for all the rear suspension arms, this Meyle HD kit is really good value.

Just wanting to Change the 4 shox and springs due to 3 broken springs and one of them is only 2 year old and new shox fitted to the front at the same time so not overly impressed by that

If it’s a 2007 it’s a pre facelift. They had loss of complaints about the ride in the early ones something they apparently addressed in the later versions.

I think the facelift started around 2010.
