Yes, it is very nice but for some unknown reason it doesn't float my boat. Without the remap it would have gone by now... its just not got the feel good factor the Leon had.

Interesting. Does you miss the shove the K04 gives or is it something else?

Lol @ m0rk ;) , Phil I cant exactly put my hand on what its missing, its just no got that something special. Performance now its remapped is very close to the LCR with none of the traction issues, the interior is great, its just not exciting, with the Leon when you put your foot down it hurled you forward, the A3 just produces its power a lot more linearly even with a remap.

Well, picking up the Sport tomorrow!

Providing the insurance company don't let me down. (which I know most of them have a habit of doing when you are picking up a new car)

Will post the obligatory pics. :)

It's a great little car - we're both very pleased with it. (only had a little drive though on the way back with it as wifey is ill :( )

Scott, does that model Ibiza have height adjustable seats for the fronts? I've driven curtesy cars that where Ibizas and i'm only an average 6' but still had my head firmly wedged to the roof. Found it really uncomfortable.

Anyway, hope you have a good experience with it, and sorry to hear about the R being let go for a lesser vehicle.

Oddly enough i've actually got myself booked in for a test drive of a Noble M12 GTO tomorrow. (I'll have a full report for you when i get back) But its strange when i think about it how much i'd hate to have to say good bye to the LCR. I can't think of anything else that for the price, mixes such fine blend of Looks, Performance and practicality. If i could afford the risk i would be very tempted to try and RWD coversion and completely overhaul the interior.

Not sure about the seats. Didn't look TBH. Will check tomorrow.

Ahh but the R is not being replaced by the Sport. The Sport is to replace the GTI for the wife. The R is being replaced by the MK 2 Cupra, there's just going to be year's gap in between. ;)

Well I finally said goodbye to the R this afternoon.

It was hard to see it go, but it's gone to a good home.

I've been going cold turkey with it parked in the garage for the last few weeks. It's only been out a couple of times.

Driving it for the last time today to fill it up with petrol still put a smile on my face. :)

Time to start saving now.......... :cheeky:

Wish i could get rid of mine somehow! With offspring (unplanned) it has become a crippling expense. Sadly, i'm doubtful as to how flexible SEAT finance are!

Best hurry up and find the nearest Securitas depot!
