Thinking of getting a Leon

So, thinking of getting a Leon or maybe an Ibiza (or a Golf, or a Polo, or maybe a Focus.....) when my Fabia goes back next year. What are people's thoughts? I'm thinking of the Xcellence Lux with the 1.5 TSI 150. I've heard good things about the engine in VWs and Skodas. My parents are currently in Spain and have a Leon rental and are very impressed with it. That's an earlier facelift model with the 1.2 TSI, but dad said it drives beautifully.

I was thinking Xcellence Lux because I want adaptive cruise and the digital dash. It's a shame that you can't add ACC onto an FR or FR Sport!

I know orders aren't open for the 1.5 TSI right now, but that's not an issue, I'd be waiting until at least the 19 plates at the very earliest.

If you are not in a hurry would you not be better off waiting for the MK4 which i think comes out next year.

Ooo that's a point. What sort of timeframe are we talking? My Fabia is up in November, but I'd expect to be trading it in before that.

Dont know but https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/next-seat-leon-due-2019-high-tech-cabin-and-plug-variant says summer 2019 but you will also have the New VW, SKODA Ranges as well.

Summer 2019 means I might end up with a launch car, or if I don't like it, old stock on the cheap! I'd kind of like to move away from Skoda, I got the Fabia because I wanted the 1.2 TSI in a Polo sized car and couldn't stretch to an actual Polo, and the previous Ibiza was quite long in the tooth. Skoda's styling and image is a bit... grandpa. My parents have a Rapid and had a Superb before, and as they were helping out while I'm a student they got a big input.
