Tips please

Hi all I have a pd130 se love the car a lot bought it cos my dad had 2 a few years ago and having 3kids decided its a great family car
Only thing is the handling it's abit wobbly I know I need to lower it and can't afford coil overs what's the next best thing to help stiffen it up I.e just springs or shocks aswell any other tips will be helpful

Lowering springs and shocks, you can often get them second hand too.

Will ones off a Tdi Leon fit or any of the other VAG cars
Also what make of oil should I use in it going to service it at the weekend if weather allows me to

Will I still be ok to tow a caravan as the Missus thinks we should get a caravan if I lower it will the towbar not scrape mine seems to be quite low as it is noticed speed bumps don't like the sump cover lol
