Toledo 05 plate

Hi I have a Toledo 05 plate. And I've noticed my rear lights are really dim. I knew one side was dim but they now seem to be the same both sides. Has anyone got any ideas what the problem could be any help would be appreciated.

Check bulbs first then give connections a tidy up ,
If dim I have seen some people put 24v bulbs in cars and have this issue (not saying you have )
