Evening ladies and germs.

I have a Formentor VZ2 310. My knowing wife has bought me a track day experience where I take it round a circuit (yet to be decided). I've done several fun days previously, but not where you drive your own motor.
Do you have any tips etc to ensure I...
1: Don't make a twat of myself
2: Don't ruin the car.
3: Make sure the missus enjoys the day too.

Any advice is very much appreciated.

Cheers all!

Ps... I'll pop this on the Formentor forum too.

Ensure you have appropriate insurance cover for track day activities. Many standard car insurance policies will exclude activities such as track days, and you don’t want to be left with a potentially very expensive bill if things don’t go to plan on the track!

There are specialist track day insurance providers, so ensure you arrange a suitable policy if your standard policy doesn’t provide the necessary cover.

And enjoy the day 🙂.

Make sure the car has all it's fluids etc.
Think about raising the front tyre pressures a bit and expect brake fade.
You won't work the tyres and brakes harder than on a track.
Have an easy last lap to cool everything down at the end.
Lastly don't forget before you drive home to check tyre pressures etc and remember you're on the road again, the car won't behave the same on non smooth roads.
