Upsolute chip thuning system

Has anyone had any experience with the chips from upsolute?
Can't post links yet, but running 1.4 tsi 122 HP,
they promise up to 152 HP, ARP one promise 146 HP I think..

It is way cheaper than ARP ones, but I'm not sure about quality and such,

Any thoughts?

Pay more attention to a companies known reputation rather than 'headline grabbing' figures.

What they claim and what they deliver are not always the same thing.

As we know, you get what you paid for, the price is not an issue, rather go with APR.
What do I need to do in order to put stage 1 chip?

Stage 1 is simply an ECU tune. No mods required.

Make sure you run 97 - 99 RON fuel with the remap.

Wouldn't it be a problem switching to 98 RON?

95 RON is fine for the car's standard ECU software, but the car will benefit from a higher RON after it has been remapped.

It's up to you. I always run on 99 RON. The car picks up better

I did not realise that you were in Isreal, or that the price for 98 RON was so high there. Sorry about that.

In that case, 95 RON will be best for you.

I get an addition 20km out of a tank of 99 RON versus 95 RON in my Cupra.

It's alright my friend how would you know I'm from Israel?

I get around 720 km from a full tank right now with 95 RON,
maybe the extra mileage is preferred over the price..

I had an Upsolute chip on my MK1 Leon Cupra - ran for 2.5 years and gave good economy and more power. That was in the early days too (2004) and I expect they are very good now. I'd think about using them again but doesn't look like there is a UK dealer anymore, back then the UK dealer was extremely helpful and knew his stuff. (Just noticed you're not UK )

I just wanted to know if they are reliable. Cause the numbers they promise seams very interesting,
as opposed to APR and such.
