So I've just had a call from the garage who are servicing my Tolly to say I need new front discs and pads.

I asked them to price up some updated numbers as I like to feel as if the seat belt is stopping me from mounting the car in front when I drop the anchors...imagine my surprise when he told me I dont really need them as the front brakes - including the calipers have already been updated to those off of a big ass A6!!!

312mm discs rather than 280(ish) ain't cheap!!

312mm disks are standard on 170bhp 20v V5s

Yep, the only 'upgrade' is the 323mm Brembo's, or some major rework for some non-SEAT kit.

You might like to go to higher quality discs, but I find the 312's more than enough.

The 150 V5's got 288mm discs if I remember rightly.
