Hi all,

Did a boost /vac leak test on my tt 225 last night (i know it's not a leon) discovered I have a rather large leak in the vac side of things and need some advice on how best to put it right.

Here is where said leak is under the inlet manifold - not entirely sure what the hose is (brake vac line?). Can anyone tell me how to fix this - is the only way to replace the pipework (duh! hehe) or is there any mod I can do 'whilst I'm in there' which'll do away with said pipe?

Anyone know the parts numbers of anything I need or whether some silicone hose of ebay'll do?

Thanks!

Hi,
I have had the same problem with my MK1 leon, but my vacuum pipes split in half. I looked on the Internet about fixing this however most people bypassed the pipe work altogether. Silicone pipes will cost you a fair bit as well. I'd google about bypassing vacuum pipes, read into it, then decide if it's for you or not.

Hope this helps.

Stick a picture up on here and I will look on etka and see if I can find the part number for you.

Here are the pictures from etka. See if you can work out what one you need. You will have to see if you can work out where the pipe starts that needs replacing and see if you can spot it on one of these diagrams. I was looking at the same pipes on my lcr and I worked out what I needed by printing off the pictures from etka and then looking at my car.

If you need a price let me know what number it is as my version gives a basic price but its not 100% up to date but it gives you an idea.
