Hi folks.

Been a long time Vauxhall fanboy going back to the early 90's but now its time for a change.

Was looking to change our "family" car, which is currently a disturbingly greedy 2.2 diesel scoffing Antara, to a decent 5dr family hatchback. Test drove a few current hatches from various manufacturers but, without a shadow of a doubt, the Leon left me very impressed and with a proper cheezy grin on my face.

Would have loved the 184 diesel but it was just a bit too much. So now got a 6 week wait for delivery of a 5dr Alor Blue Leon 2.0TDi 150 FR.

Welcome Captain,

im a fellow ex Vauxhall fan boy, Don't know if I could go back after owning my leon

I know what you mean. The current Vauxhall range is a bit of a damp squib at the moment unless you go for something in the VXR stable.

Have to admit I do still own an Astra Coupe Turbo (my little baby) and a Corsa as a 2nd wee run about as well. However, my other half wants me to sell my toys and settle for just having the Leon. Obviously thats no bad thing but I still love my old Coupe. Unfortunately though its not the cheapest car to keep, especially since its essentially just a weekend toy.

Welcome to SEAT :)
Thanks :)

Hello Captain.

I'm a newbie as well just to say hello
Hello fellow Newbie.

I previously owned a Vauxhall Astra 1.6 (2005) and upgraded to a Seat Ibiza FR Black Edition (2015) best move I've made by far! Much more economical, better looking, faster and more comfortable!

Welcome to SCN from a fellow Scot.

Cheers bud.

Had a few Astra G's and H's. Good motors but starting to look a bit dated. Ibiza Fr is a tidy looking motor.

I had a Corsa SRI before my Ibiza and loved it! Got drove very very hard...

They are decent wee cars. I've got a 1.4SXi and its a good wee car to drive. However, the wife now wants me to sell the Astra and the Corsa and get her a newer wee motor with the money. So I'm now looking at something like a wee 1.4 Ibiza if I can sell them both.

Not long to wait now. Collecting the Leon on the 29th. :coolthumb

Just traded my 61 plate Insignia (2.0 CDTI SRI) to a 65 plate Leon (2.0 TDI 184 FR). Best decision I have ever made and a much more practical family car.

Alor Blue is the best decision you've ever made also ;)

Enjoy your SEAT:)

Oh I will. :)

Alor Blue is the best decision you've ever made also ;)

Its certainly a very nice bright colour. I collected the car on Sunday, a few days earlier than expected and am enjoying it a lot. The car was sitting outside the front of the garage when we were on our way to collect it and we could see it from half a mile up the road!!

I wanted the 184 model and the bigger wheels too, like yours, but just couldn't push our budget any more. Main thing is, even with 150bhp, it can still shift its backside.....and it looks smart doing it.

I would post a picture but not got enough posts yet. Anyway, it looks like yours but with the standard 17" alloys. :)

I've just ordered an FR in Alor Blue - which has a 14 week wait now. The first dealer was desperately trying to sell me one in black, grey, silver or white and wouldn't give any discounts on the blue. I am such a fan of the blue that I had to have it and I'm willing to wait (and drive the deal gave me the discount in the end.) I can also count on one hand the number of Alor blue's I've seen on the road, compared to white which seems very common around where I live.

Seeing, and hearing you guys talk about it makes it really difficult to wait now! I too will have the standard 17" wheels, so looking forward to seeing some of your pictures when you can Captain. Enjoy!

Welcome to Seat, I was originally a Ford owner.

I'll say hello to you again Seastormer, now that I've actually seen you out and about. That was me following you down the Edinburgh City Bypass this afternoon. :drive1::D

Had a glance over as I passed, but as no SCN sticker on the back of your FR didn't think you were a fellow member, first time I have been spotted, cheers.
