I think the main problem is most of them are ****ing **** and not worth the effort.
The 3.2 is barely worth it, you get 250 out of that lump but lets be honest thats not really hard work to get out of a Turbo lump and you don't end up with a ton weight strapped to the front of the car.
Don't get me wrong the engines sound gorgeous but the amount of effort required and the end result isn't very impressive IMO.
Okay thanks Pete... this might sound stupid how do i find their posts as im not that good with forums..
i have managed to find a vr6 from a family members car which has only done 78000 miles and i know the history of it which is the main reason for doing it. i would usually put a 1.8t lump in but i only use the car mainly at weekends as i usually have a work van to get about in. i have never liked the 1.8T yeah they're quick but i cant be dealing with turbos blowing up etc and all the problems a turbo cause just yet.. their is potential to put a turbo on the vr6 if i have room and if i can make things work.
Just go to the Search This Forum box at the top right side of Mk2 Ibiza & put in VR6. Also try the same search in Modifications & Tuning & also in Engine Discussion Normally Aspirated Forum. You will just have to filter out anything that is not about engine conversion.
