W8 dimmer wire connection

Can anyone confirm the correct wire is number 17 (blue and white) cable on the back of the main headlight switch - top left - to allow the W8 leds to dim correctly? I’ve just removed a bodged version from mine and it was using the smaller connector block (single row) instead?

I have mine wired into the headlight dimmer switch feed along with my S3 illuminated air vents.
