Stumbled across this on a motorsports forum. In a snippet from an online motorsport tech magazine, they were doing a feature about the aero testing on the NGTC cars. In a small section about Welch Motorsport who are running a Proton, it said they were due to run an Exeo, but it fell through.

I heard that SEAT tested an Exeo Chassis as a race car.........................and it was a bit crap.

Trying to remember where I heard it. Was a couple of years ago though

From memory they acquired one of the S2000 Audi A4s from the STCC (same basic car as the Exeo), but they didn't take it any further than some testing.

Yeh i heard about this ages ago althought at the time it was talk of Welch running Leons

Exeo would look good out there and would certainly boost the market for the road car
