Weitec Hicon GT Coilover

Hi,
I'm a relatively new owner of a 2005 Cupra 1.8T 180 and my first purchase was a set of Weitec Hicon GT Coilovers. Can anyone recommend somewhere to get them fitted around Glasgow? How much are we talking to get them fitted?
Also what else should I be fitting at the same time? New top mounts, bushes etc.

Lots of questions, thanks for the help in advance.
Cheers, Andrew

Don't know where is good in glasgow tbh, but welcome to the site! I'm from ayrshire myself, work in glasgow. There is a company called A for Audi that specialise in VW cars, but now sure if they are any good tbh.

I'd also fit new top mounts and bearing just to be safe.

I would fit new top mounts and top mount bearings. Around £40 from Dave at Sere Motors on here. Also fit new drop links at the same time, their about the same too. These two are common for causing knocking noises on ibizas. You may need shorter droplinks to stop your arb fouling, some coilover brands need them and some dont. Have a search on here to find out. Id also get a full geometry / alignment setup at the same time to avoid unever tyre wear, try and choose a garage that does this to fit your coilovers

Cheers guys I'll look into the top mount & bearings. What about the ford puma drop links you can get on ebay? would they do? From looking about other posts I think the Weitecs could do without but there would be no harm fitting them if they are only a tenner.
I think I'll give A for Audi a call, I asked Arnold Clark if they could fit them while changing the brakes and they quoted 9 hours labour to do it :-o - now I think I could attempt it myself and take less time than that!

Wouldnt go to arnold clark personally, better off with a garage more used to fitting coilovers. I only know of performance hq in dalgety bay, maybe a bit far from you?
Its not too bad a job if your handy with a few spanners and plenty info on here. There is other droplinks you can use like you said, im not sure what difference having shorter droplinks on when it doesnt need them will have? Im sure someone can answer though

My work has an office in Dunfermline and performance hq is only ten mins away so I might give them a call. Have they done a lot of work for you?

Got my car booked in 1st March at Performance HQ to get them fitted so I'll let you know how I get on and maybe post some before and after pictures!

I did mine myself and found the Hicon's didn't need shorter drop links - looks so much better with them than standard height but I'm still playing around with mine, you can go way to low and front will rub badly!

Finally got round to getting my coilovers fitted. It's sitting really low now, probably too low!
It's down 25mm at the rear and 35 mm at the front. Getting a bad knocking noise from the front left - any idea what it could be? Also how easy is it to adjust the ride height yourself? Can't get any pics up yet but will when I have posted a few more times. Cheers

Turns out the knocking noise was the droplink hitting the chassis so replaced them with standard d/l's and this has solved the problem. Still not attempted altering the height of the coilies, does this just involve loosening the wee grub screw then adjusting with the wrench?
