Wet Doors

I was looking inside the front door the other day (After all the heavy rain) having taken the factory speaker out of its mount and saw that the back of the speaker was wet, the inside of the window had water on it and there was a puddle of water inside the door. Im guessing this is expected as there are three holes in the bottom of the door, looking as tho they would let the water out.

I was wondering if anyone else had found this and what damage this could be causing to the speakers?

In my LeonFR 2.0 TDI
ive noticed water around the doors, only on the paintwork tho, i was under the assumption that the water goes through the door from the bottom of the window seal and around the door line. i havent messed with taking doors apart tho, cars aint reallly my modding scene.

My FR TDI is back in today for this problem. If I put the window down and back up the inside of the glass is wet through. Most noticeable towards the front of the glass.

I'll inspect my FR when I get home, I've noticed in the mornings the windscreen has been heavily misted as though there is a puddle in the car somewhere...

They have the car for 2 days. The water is worst at the front of the drivers window towards the wing mirror, when the window is put up you can see
water across the inside of the window.

I'll let you know what they say.

Steve.

Well the car is back, and the problem hasn't been fixed. The garage took off the door trim to look for leaks. The only thing they have done is report this to Seat technical as there was no report of this problem or subsequant fix for it.

So now I'm waiting to see what they say. It only happens on the drivers door, if the passenger one is OK something is wrong. I think they should at least replace the door components if nothing is heard from Seat.

If anyone else can check their cars and post back results that would be appreciated. I had the car in the rain. Day after, put drivers window down approx 4 inches and back up, the inside of the glass is soaking.

Did anyone have any joy? I get this in the drivers window only on a strip of about 2 inches on the wing mirror end...

My car went in again this month. Door seals replaced on both front doors.

Still have the problem. Put the window down a couple of inches and then back up, the inside of the glass is soaking wet from the front of the door for approx 8 inches back.

The Seat northern area manager was at the garage and is now aware of the problem.

Still hoping for a fix. Car went in in Nov and now Feb, no fix, just don't know where I stand if a fix doesn't become available.

I Have A toledo and have this problem, just on the drivers side too, it is a pain in the arse, like my windows clean and mist free, the water dries and leaves a load of sh1te on the window. noticed the inside of the door was soaking when replacing speakers.

any word of fixes yet?

I just hope Seat get more and more of these complaints.

I've taken legal advice as there is no indication of when it will be fixed. I don't want to reject the car, the TDI FR is great apart from the leaks.

I'm going to write to my dealer with my concerns and try to get an official reply from Seat to reassure me that they are working on the problem.

I want to know the situation if it takes weeks/months/years(arghh) to sort and what they are prepated to do.

I had a courtesy 56 plate Altea for the 2.5 weeks they had my car, it leaked worse than my Leon!!
