This has to be the best and worse day I have had the car!

Today I decided to fit my FMIC and Sachs suspension kit!

Bad start FMIC didnt turn up so had to get up extra early and go and pick it up from the depot! [:@]

Ok so started to remove the front bumper and got that off eventually! cam to remove the old intercooler what a wee fcuk that was to remove, the standard clips are so tight it not funny. Broke one in the process.
With all the pipes and intercooler off the new one went on easy!

Went for a drive and no hose leaks :funk:

Now came the part that hurt the most putting the bumper back on, after serveral attempts the thing just wouldnt go back on right so out came the hack saw and stanley knife, this was the part of the day I didnt like. First I hurt to cut the bumper was I didnt really want to do but I started to do it anyway, arrghh stanley knifes are very sharp, cut my finger! :censored: After that the bumper goes back on!

Next was the suspension, step in stoneyford. Back went on perfectly next came the front the bloody top mount! Could get it released from the shock so I have half a suspension kit on! but that is getting fixed 2mara! ;)

While the back was being done Andy gdon decided to pay a visit, what did he go and do. droped my alloy on the its front scratch most of the spoke aarrgghhh! But hes offered to sort it Cheers mate :)

I now would have no problems paying anyone to do work on my car as I never want to do anything like this again! I will never again complain about labour charges that garages charge!

Big thanks to stoneyford for all his help today could have done it without him!
Cheer again mate

pay peanuts and you get monkeys!!
dont go ragging the car until you get the alignment etc done again.
No aligning to be done if just the back shocks have been replaced is there? Or am I misreading what he's wrote?

A day in the life of me

In all fairness the wheel fell over on its own!! True i left it standing, not propped, but it was standing for a good 20mins!! Should have left when i first said i was going!!

In all honesty....Stevens face was priceless when i turned up!!! NOT a happy bunny-when back suspension gives gip you always know the fronts are going to be a ball ache!!

Upon the wheel dropping and the air turning bluer and bluer i decided to make a hasty retreat in the mighty Yaris!! I had a few for you lads!!!

try working in a pub for 18 hours,
that's a day's work!!!!

i have to deal with upto 1100 people on a busy day.
sometimes it's a fairytale, and i wonder what all the fuss is about,

other times, every customer is a :w4nk:and i go home suicidal

i just wish there is a happy medium somewhere other than that place called "Utopia"

Glad you managed that ok, you'll be impressed with them i hope, done over 300 miles on mine now but haven't had any dry weather to really test them yet but im sertanly impressed with them, much better than the standard ones. The front has dropped nicely but because ive only got my standard Fr 16's on the back could do with dropping about another 5mm but not to worry. When i thook my OEM intercooler off it really easy to do, maybe thats because it had only coverec just over 3500 miles, but they are tiny in comparrison to the forge one. When putting the bumper back on though i had a bit of trouble getting one side on as onnnne of the fog lights was catching on the lower tube, but after a little bit of adjustment it went on fine.
Anyway i hope your impressed with the shocks and the intercooler just let me know when you want a clutch ;)

nah just spit lol,

ye id change my top mounts definately fella if i was u , i put springs in mhy car at around 28k , and noticed the top mount bearing , if u know wat that is , (not being cheeky) had a lot of play in it , but used it anyhow , then at 35K put koni adjustable shocks , the front top bearings fell apart when i released the top mount , luckily i had new mounts beside me at the time , no way were the old ones re usable
