I've just placed a deposit on an ultra low miles but 2yr old Leon SC TDI SE DSG, to replace my same age (4 days older) 44,000 mile 5dr TDI SE DSG. It was on sale at a bargain price, at least £1k less than the CAP guide retail price suggested. I know it's a 2014 model, as it doesn't have a lid on the cubbyhole ahead of the gearstick (mine does) but IIRC that means it loses the underseat boxes.

And it has toys! Is there a way of finding out exactly what toys it has from the chassis number? I know it's got
  • Tech pack
    Metallic Red
    Winter Pack
    Front & Rear park sensors
    Leather sports seats
    Full climate control
BUT it also appears to have some kind of unit above the rear view mirror, with an aperture that appears to read the road. The dealer seemed clueless as to how many extras it had, and I didn't want to tip them off that it's a bit of a Christmas tree spec. (Sadly the Autotrader ad has been removed as i've paid a deposit!)

possibly lane assist camera!

or is it just the light sensor?
From the pictures I saw it has something like this
featuredetails_34d8.resizeViewPort.422.image2FileReference.jpg

Is that on all models with convenience pack? My current one has handraulic lights and wipers :lol:

its the driver assist pack

Ground breaking Lane Assist technology helps you remain in your intended lane of travel, warning you if you start drifting into another lane and automatically adjusting the car’s trajectory. The High-Beam Assist switches between full and dipped beam accordingly, and can identify oncoming traffic, ensuring other road users are not dazzled.

It'll have the convenience pack aswell if it's got the lane assist stuff. It should also still have a box under the drivers seat. Sounds like a good deal just check for any damage or repairs. What dealer are you getting it from?

It was traded in at a BMW dealer - they say (and the pictures i've seen so far) that it is absolutely immaculate. It even had an oil change at 1yr / 915 miles apparently. It's had one owner only (according to the seller, but even if it is ex demo, doesn't matter once i've put 25k a year on it!)

They're swapping the 16" alloys onto my car, and my winter steels onto theirs, and my original 17" upgrade wheels can go on once winter is over ;)

New basic list price was £20640 on the road. The customer* ordered the following extras:

Front & Rear park sensors £430
Electric folding mirrors £135
Full dual zone climate control £350
LED interior lights £60
Convenience pack £150 (Auto lights, wipers, dipping int mirror)
Drive assist pack £295 (Lane/high beam assistance)
Safety pack £115 (rear belt warning & tiredness alert)
Leather interior £1370 (Bum warmers, cow everywhere, headlight wash)
Metallic paint £495
LED headlights / DAB / Nav £1000 (or might've been free at the time)

I think that's all, some of it might've been bundled as an option pack, but even so it's still a HUGE spec sheet.

*I presume it was a customer order, as it was built 22 November 13 and then registered 18 December 13 - not something ordered and sat around in the showroom. They then drove under 2000 miles in it, and presumably got a rubbish trade in against something BMW or MINI - and I think i've just "stolen" it at the price i've paid.

Collected it today, very pleased with my purchase. Two minor marks on the bodywork but otherwise immaculate. Has been Autoglym lifeshined AND GardX protected

It has the same rattle near the speedo that my old car had, and it has one of the footwell lights missing which is a bit odd. Will get a replacement from my dealer.

I'm confused by the lane assistance (very odd feeling) and the fact it then means you get a separate stalk for the cruise control operation. Oh and that the cruise taps up in 5mph increments rather than the 1mph.

The red one is the new one, the white is my old one - both same age [within days] but the red has done 42,000 miles less. The dealer swapped the wheels over, so they retain the 16" alloys, I retain my winter wheels and then come summer I can put my 17" upgrade wheels on [B)]

You can make it go up by one by pulling the extra stalk towards you, rather than pushing up. Going down remains in 5mph increments though.

You can make it go down in 1mph increments too, I think you just have to press the button on the end whilst it's active.

I might be wrong about which button, but will double check next time I'm in the car.
