Have a look on YouTube there’s videos of people removing it on a golf R. It’s quite similar.
https://youtu.be/6WOTw_lIoKw

Basically what you wanna do is open bonnet and remove the rubber thing that goes across you’ll see in the video lol. An remove the clips etc. I found that the actuator was on the left side on my cupra so infront of drivers side. You’ll see the box if you have a look it says sound actuator on there.
Also on the left you’ll notice like what looks like polystyrene pull that up an remove the clip holding the pastic down. Will make life easier.
Then you want to unclip the actuator which is the hard part
I wrapped the plug up in insulation tape to Weatherproof it

Did you notice any improvement? Any video

If you get OBD11, VCDS or CARISTA you can turne the sound down from 100% to 0 and anywhere in between and change it back again as you wish.

I have mine turned off so that i can listen to my induction kit

Can you do it by Carista? My cousin plugged his in couple weeks ago but we didn’t find anything worth doing.
Would of saved me the hassle of unplugging

Sorry dont know as not a Carista user but it does most of the simple stuff although I have seen some people say that the Android version does more than the Apple one. update just checked and no it does not do it on my car anyway

OBD11 Does and if you go for the standard version I think you can pay for the app to do the change but I have pro so cant be a 100% sure.

Check out the Carista web site.

My understanding VCDS which is the best tool but at a price, uses a cable and windows pc.
OBD11 and Carista uses dongles, check out the web for details, Amazon sell it not sure about ebay.

I've got vcds on my laptop, not sure snmbout cost though as I downloaded the programme off the rosstech site which appears to be free and I inherited the cable off my dad when he sold his s5. Without it if go obd11 route.

Cupra 280 sc here!

Mods:
Racingline R600 intake, elbow & inlet pipe.
Racingline turbo muffler delete.
Apr Stage 1 high torque engine remap (370hp & 390ft/lbs)
Apr dsg remap
034 dogbone insert
EBC Redstuff pads

Team Heko wind deflectors
Seat rear spoiler extensions
Stronger boot struts to auto open
Bonnet strut kit (yet to fit)

Dsg aluminium paddle extensions
Dashcam permanently fitted
Led rear fog, indicators & reversing lamp.

Loads of fiddles on OBD eleven

Wheels powder coated in BMW anthracite, but need doing again (might go bronze)

Oh, and a bear to guard the car when I'm not in it. (stuffed toy - he's done about 80k in cars with me)

What I'd recommend?
Decent tyres first & foremost.
Dashcam.
Led reversing lamp.
In that order!
