Hi everyone!
Has anyone got some tips on buying a second hand FR DSG TFSI. I just about to buy one so if anyone has any info on what to look out for, it would be a great help to me, cheers:D

Don't do it.

You'll never want to go manual again, and you'll be limited to either VW GTi or another FR.

The car screams "modify me" every time you turn the key.

And you're liable to lose your current relationship because of the time spent polishing and waxing your "baby".

Or do it, and get one of the best cars made for the money
make sure it's got Full SEAT Service History (FSSH), if around 60k miles, ensure that cambelt has been done.
Check tyre wear, and any leaks in the engine.
Have noise proofing under bonnet replaced (if mouldy). Make sure they do a full oil CHANGE.

AND...most important. Test drive it warm AND cold and make sure the DSG doesn't judder at low speeds (traffic jam speeds).

Haha, cheers for the good advise, unfortunately I've already done a test drive and I must say I'm hook already, I'm currently driving an Alfa GT1.9JTD and it took me so long to find the right car to replace it.....I think I have by far!The FR has 40,000 miles on it so i'm after getting the dealer to change the oil on the DSG for me before I buy. It's a black 08 with all the body gear, I must say I love it already!(already pricing a armrest for it) Nearly brought an Focus ST a while back,so glad I waited now!
Thanks for the info again, going do all you said :)

One (maybe stupid) thing to check as well:

Check that the rear defroster elements are intact. It's a faffy check, but the stupid retards I bought mine from (Tyneside AUTOPARC) put big for sale and price stickers on them (on the inside) and it ripped off the elements in quite a few places.

Nah. To be honest I never went back about it because I couldn't be done with their lies and hassle.
I had a few other things done under warranty with them and had to fight them every step of the way.

Bought some conductive silver paint and sorted it myself
