What's needed to paint the inside of my headlights

Been looking at painting the inside of my headlights red to go with my theme but unsure of what to do. I no I need to use a heatgun on the seal to get into the headlight but what else? need a list of things I'll need. Will I be able to lacquer the red bits of will the heat from the bulbs melt it. also how long should I leave them to dry before reassembly? thanks Ben

Have seen a few imprezas and fiestaswith them and they look good. Only after a small red ring so nothing too garesh.

Some people use heat guns, some leave the headlights in the oven to soften the sealant...personally I wouldn't bother. Too much risk of wrecking expensive head light units for the sake of a bit of red paint.

My mate has done his fiesta st and it looks great! Just use standard primer and paint on it mate. I think it's a case of heat and gently prying it off, then a dab of glue to re seal it

Would depend how long it took to get the light casing off. Once it's off just clean it up, rub it down, prime, rub down, couple of top coat layers then rebuild.
