What's this in engine bay?

Hi I have a seat Ibiza 1.9 TDI and it kept making a ratteling noise and brought it to a seat/VW/Audi specialist and they couldn't find anything, it started to get worse and then I found this part was loose and kept hitting the metal. I put a doing there (don't laugh haha) to stop the ratteling but the screw that kept it there has worn away and loctite and gorilla glue still allows movement so it still rattles slightly. Just want to know what it's called before I ask to get it looked at

Thank you!!! Is that likely expensive to get put back into place? Should I bring it to seat themselves or would that cost a bomb compared to independent garages?

If it's loose simply because a securing screw has dropped out I would think any competent small garage would be able to help - better still if it were a VAG specialist. If the ECU enclosure is damaged in any way it must be repaired to secure against ingress of moisture and it may be necessary to get "inventive" with forming a new way to secure it.

In any event don't just leave it to rattle around - ECU's and the associated reprogramming can "eat" significant amounts of money! I don't think a visit to the main dealer would be needed and a small shop is likely to be cheaper and more inventive in terms of a solution. Up here in Edinburgh I would be going to the lads at AVW.

The ecu is held by a plastic support with plastic screws. All of them can be obtained from the dealers. They aren't very expensive either.

Check what's broken/missing and replace that
