i would say your second word is a little more offensive then the first.

I don't know, it doesn't sound offensive to me but that could be because I'm scottish. We use in terms like " Ya hoor sir" or "That was a hoor o a job" but spelt the normal way you see, so to me it's not the same.

Down under they use several words which are normal words in the UK but mean something different to an aussie.... caught me out a few times.

I agree with sssstew, it's all in the context. The first one I can imagine being used in the context of some car related task, IE 'that was an **** of a job'. The second is a little more difficult to imagine.

The ones I find entertaining are the double meaning ones. For example, there is one company/brand that has it's name censored, but their name can also be used in a normal sentence without referencing the company.

Lol there was a thread on a certain type of ariel recently and it has the same name as said company, made for an interesting thread
