I don't know, it doesn't sound offensive to me but that could be because I'm scottish. We use in terms like " Ya hoor sir" or "That was a hoor o a job" but spelt the normal way you see, so to me it's not the same. :D

I agree with sssstew, it's all in the context. The first one I can imagine being used in the context of some car related task, IE 'that was an **** of a job'. The second is a little more difficult to imagine.

The ones I find entertaining are the double meaning ones. For example, there is one company/brand that has it's name censored, but their name can also be used in a normal sentence without referencing the company.

Lol there was a thread on a certain type of ariel recently and it has the same name as said company, made for an interesting thread :D
