Which rear Tyres?

The problem is well documented, in fact this was the forum which explained it to me (as a non member previously).
We have a 2012 Leon FR with wheel bearing noise from the rear caused by the tyres.
We are due replacement tyres so obviously I want some new rubber which cures this problem. Currently have block pattern Bridgestone Potenza 18" tyres.
Previously I have been confused by what good what's bad out there across multiple threads.

Could any members please tell me if they have:-

Cured the noise by buying a particular tyre?

Kept the noise by buying a particular tyre?

Sounds to me like VAG cars are still suffering from sawtooth tyre wear. You'd think they'd have engineered that out by now, seeing as it has been occuring since at least the mk5 Golf!

Mine came with conti sport contacts and had that noise between 110-130kph. I had a puncture and had two Goodyear efficient grip performance put on the back about a month ago and it greatly reduced the noise. I still have a little bit of noise now but I am swapping the fronts in the coming days and hoping that this will cure the noise. I will report back when it's done.
