Had my wheels powder-coated a couple of days ago, centre caps havn't arrived yet!
The wheels were done by The Wheel Specialist in Manchester.

For anyone who's interested cleaning process involved:
Autoglym Shampoo
Meguiars Quick Clay
Meguiars Step 2 (of 3) (very good)
DODO Juice Diamond White (excellent, easy to use)

Tyres: Autoglym Bumper Care.

Unfortunately FotoPic has made the images a smaller filesize, so the quality isn't that good!

The interior still needs a good clean.
I am fitting the Meta SR2 Reversing Sensors on monday if anyone need a guide, they are the ones that fit around the rear number plate.
Speakers yet to be decided.

Looks ace! Mine are getting done ASAP!

Silly question, but how did you organise the wheels to be done? I am looking for some 18's to sit the car on while they are getting done as I dont fancy sitting the car on jacks for days.

Yes, the origional paint was taken off, I think the powder-coating is quite thick though.
I've noticed it doesn't turn in as well now, but thats probably the tyres being filled to the wrong pressure! I'll have to check them tomorrow.

djhorace:
I took the car in, and they had it all done in 7 hours. It was sat on 4 jacks while the wheels were being done. They have tyre fitting machines etc.

Thanks :)

I paid £216 (4 wheels 18", taken off, refitted etc), but I went to their open day last year and had 40% discount.
The 40% off was only on the powdercoating though. Not on the tyre removal / fitting. So I Think it would be £328 normally. Thats the price for full re-furb I think, on brand new wheels it might be cheaper.

I take it your car is Crono Yellow? The orangey colour in your picture is nice!

After having phone around, it seems that most of the places up here need a few days to refurb/powdercoat wheels. Wonder how they managed so quickly?!

Dealer helped me out with some standard rims when I explained what I was intending for the wheels. Once I get tyres on them, I will have 2 wheels in at a time to get done :D

I'm looking forward to seeing yours with black wheels!
Red was my second colour choice.
