Will my new edge ebd12a 900w amp work with steering wheel controls

Hi, I've got a 2010 fr cr 2.0 tdi and have just been delivered my new sub and amp and am going to hook it up once it stops raining. I'm also waiting on the delivery of a high low adapter as I've been told I will need one of these..

will my steering wheel controls work fine with the new sub?

will I lose my radio code when i disconnect the car battery, not sure if I have the code in the manual.. does it cost a lot to get the code??

The steering wheel controls are plugged into the stereo not the sub or amp.
So yes should work as long as you stereo has the adapter for steering wheel controls or your using the oem stereo.

The OEM stereo is hard coded to the car so you shouldn't need a stereo code.
