Window opening on its own

Hi all

looking into an issue for a friend. She has a mk3 1.2 petrol. She is having an issue with the front passenger window (5door) opening on its own. She took to a garage and from what I can gather they have removed the fuse

anyone had a similar issue and shed some light on the issue and what it might be. It’s only the one window and always at random

First thing to try is change the switch

I'd think that there are so many possibilities for causing that problem, including the wiring harnesses where they pass from the car body into the doors, and I'd think if it was that, by the law of averages, the door most often opened and closed will be the driver's side front door.

Having a look at that point on both doors, ie inside the protective bellows might reveal a damaged wire(s), but as I have suggested, many other illogical possibilities.
