Window rubbers?

Just seen how bad my side window rubbers are. Has anyone found anywhere that still stocks them all i.e. driver and passenger both front and rear?

You and almost every other mk1 Leon owner.

I know, it’s a bit like asking for the winning lotto numbers.

But wanted to start looking for when I replace them as some muppet polished the car and scratched them all as well as using brick acid on them.

Oh not bubbling up due to internal rust then as that's how most are?

They are a little bit not too bad, that’s the most frustrating thing.

I thought I read a post where you could still get them but they were expensive.

I'm pretty damn certain they've been discontinued now mate.
I'm forever getting asked for them and it's very rare that I have some good enough to warrant using as a replacement.

Most likely, my next stage was second hand but it’s hard to show the damage etc.

Shame these aren’t more popular as there’s a few companies re making parts for other brands (ok RS turbos etc but still).

Found a post from 2 weeks ago where the last side was bought.

Also spoke to someone who found a new old stock scuttle. It’s out there somewhere!

Scuttle trays are definitely all gone as I've already tried on those myself.
I ended up swapping for a better condition used one and getting a 3D printed vin number insert.

Spoke to Liam, who was at the Vag Yard getting some work done, and he picked one up last month. Not via TPS or Seat but a general for sale post!

I'm pretty sure I enquired about that exact same one over on Facebook but the guy wouldn't post it so I didn't bother.

Possibly the same one. For that I’m just going to trim out the Perspex as only those who know the car will know it’s wrong.
You can’t really see it in this photo but this is the state of my window rubbers.

Another option is to bond a fresh piece of thin clear plastic from beneath.

Very true, there are lots of online companies that would make it with a slight step so it fits flush as well.
