Hi all - done a search on this problem but couldn't find anything so wondering if anyone can advise please? I have a MY01 20VT and some strange things are happening with my front windscreen wipers.
After using the washer the wipers do the usual 3 or so sweeps just fine. After that they try to move some more, but don't so in effect they go a couple of mm's up and down before 'giving up' and stopping. Same happens after moving the stalk down for a single sweep. When the wipers are moving they are fine (ie no juddering) but each time they stop it makes this little movement like it wants to move again but something is stopping it. This seems to be an intermittent problem, but in normal operation the wipers are fine.
While this isn't the end of the world, I want to make sure that the wipers won't suddenly stop altogether without going to the expense of buying a new wiper motor if something else may be the problem. Any ideas??
