So winter seems to have hit with vengence up here in Scotland. Its been very wet the past few weeks. So I am back to my windscreen fogging up anytime it's raining. I have tried cleaning the windscreen (using a magic eraser sponge then drying it off and finishing with microfibre cloth) then used Rain X anti-fog but its still fogging up whenever its raining. Its basically at the point where I have to have the aircon set to windscreen to keep it clear. If I set it back to front vents to warm the cabin the windscreen fogs up again.

Don't remember a car as bad as this. Any suggestions?

I find a 100% clean windscreen, and then the cars climate control set to auto and at 20° it stays clear while its raining. That’s after the initial fogging it does from cold.

Unfortunately I only have manual air con so its either I keep the windscreen clear or I keep me warm. I'm not sure if this is normal or there is a leak somewhere

It could be, if it is fogging up nearly all the time it could be a cause of water ingress as there’s moisture in the cars interior... can’t be anything too serious though, as usually you’ll be able to feel water in the foot wells, and/or water in the boot, where the spare wheel is housed.

Can you not set the distribution between both screen and face positions and split the warm air?

The rotary controller is not digital.
