Can anyone advise on how to wire a sub and amp to the standard head unit I know all the wiring is in the glove box

I didn't have any gain to set as my wires went straight into the kenwood underseat sub. No converter needed as the sub/amp combo handled all the necessary conversions internally...

what size sub? boxed? ported?
are you using an amp? (i hope so)

aux outs if the standard head unit has it then wire in power to amp independently.
If using head unit standard wiring (ie noAUX's) then you will need a high/low converter,

really you need to provide more detail explaining what you are planning to do.

I fitted a pair of HiFonics 12" subs in my 64 plate SC last year following the guide listed above. The only thing I changed was connecting my main 12v feed to the battery with a suitable fuse.
Not all converters have a gain and some don't provide a 12v "remote" switch on feed, so you might need to provide that for your amp too.
