Have a mechnical boost gauge working fine, however its not wired in yet so although it works its useless at night with out the light

Has a red and a black wire coming off it, how hard is it to wire in so it lights up when you turn your ights on

Got it on my A - pillar so i would need to wire it in to the light switch.

Scared i will ruin my car in the process of trying to wire this in without help

Can anyone help  any photos would be great :D

It should be easy enough: the light switch and dimmer assembly pulls out 'Just like that!' if you push the knob in and twist it clockwise. Then, IMHO you'd be best going for the dimmer controlled feed, so you gauge isn't like a beacon in the dark. The connections are on the smaller socket, and the dimmed feed is from pin 6 (top, grey/blue). The earth is pin 1 (bottom, brown). You can either 'Scotchlok' to these wires, or strip off a bit of insulation, solder, and re-insulate.
BTW if you do want full brightness at all times, use pin 2 instead of 1.

Edward9th you are an absloute legend in my eyes, just read this post today (late i know) and plucked up the courage to have a go. Did what you said and it worked a treat, I just got each wire and simply pushed each one against the metal clip and wire already in place (to avoid cutting or soldering any wires)

Boost gauge looks great and is finally complete (also dims and only come on with my lights, which was what i wanted), many, many thanks for the reply you have been very helpful :)
