I drive 14 PLATE 320ed for work and this cripples me with both back ache and left knee pain and has a terrible ICE interface and terrible digital radio reception but it will do over 90mpg on a motorway run, I couldn't bring myself to buy a 320 unless it had upgraded seats and automatic.

The upgraded seats are about £300. No brainer really. My 320 is auto so no probs with offset pedals either. I find Audi's worse for this problem personally. Mine is also a 2017 so has the updated and much improved iDrive5. The older models did have a very poor interface, looked like something out of the early nineties before.

All in all I liked my Leon, despite its many minor annoyances. But the beemer drives, sounds and rides better, and is just a nicer place to travel. The Leon is better equipped though. Even folding seats in the rear is an optional extra at BMW.

To be fair though, it probably isn't fair to compare them. It's not like they are of similar cost (or design) And if I'd had my way I'd be driving a new Jag XE... But the deal I got on the beemer (with it about to be replaced with an all new one discounts are significant) made it an easy decision. I'm still happy, and I haven't once seen a day that I missed my Leon.

I would have another especially now there is the Xcellence trim - as that is pretty much what I wanted to start with! But I will be looking around at anything new that has come out recently since launch, just to see if there is something better for the money.

My only niggles with the car over the past two years / 30k miles has been a suspension clonk and the trip computer being madly optimistic on MPG. The sat nav could be better, but certainly does the job. I find the (upgraded) sports seats plenty comfortable, including a 1200 mile trip to the Pyrenees loaded up.

Have said no, but mainly because I can't see us having a need for a car this size next time. No pressure to change and waiting to see how the new Fiesta ST and Ibiza Cupra (if it happens!) shape up. Was interested in the Fiesta last time, but found the ride too hard and there was no 5 door option then. Both these have been addressed since then but too near the new model now and having been impressed by the 1.0 triple I do like the idea of the 1.5 litre version which the new ST is getting.

Yes, but only a rattle-free 3-year old car that could be looked after by an independent VAG specialist.

Annoying trim and suspension rattles and inept SEAT dealer network drove me to BMW.

Such a shame because the 1.8TSI with DSG is superb and the Mk3 Leon is roomy, comfortable and incredible value for money. It's still a great looking car.

Bought my Cupra then Bought my Wife a 1.2TSI SE. Ticked all the boxes, cheap to run and very practical. Mine on the other hand is very practical and massive fun to drive.

No rattles in either and my Cupra has just ticked passed 10k.

I'm on my 2nd FR. Changed my 15 plate for a 66. My 15 plate had a split on the door seal when I picked it and also I had issues with the media player.
My 66 plate also had a problem with the door seal and so far it's been back to the dealer to change the seat belt buckle. It was bent so it was digging into the seat.
Now I got a clicking sound as I turn the steering wheel to the right when I'm stationary. It might need a new steering rack. Not bad for a car I have owed since mid December .
So to answer your question would I buy another.
Ask me in 4 years when it's time to change the car lol.

I told my dealer about the clicking sound and they have checked it over and reckon it might need a new steering rack. The sound seems to be coming from behind the dash too.

DSG is quicker, cleaner, less road tax, more mpg why would I have anything less.

You can't to and heel, can't apply break while accelerating, auto up shifts so if I wanted to stay at 5500-6000rpm while cornering I couldn't. And it's torque tolerances won't allow more than 380bhp other than that it's alright

I have a rattle in my passenger side door card but other than that I love my FR184, interface is sharp and works well, gears feel tight, brakes are strong, steering is solid and I think it looks awesome. I'm on a lease till October '18 at which point I'm currently leaning towards a Golf GTI next, personally I don't want to go Cupra/R power/economy for both my financial situation and the insurance costs(I know plenty will disagree but that's my circumstance) plus I think the new Golf infotainment and active info as standard are decent and standard spec equipment is very impressive. But for the time being have been on the whole very happy with my FR and will get the rattle sorted at some point

So far so good with the 300. Fast and dirt cheap to run.

I'd have another but these may well be out of production in 3 years so will have to look elsewhere unless a new Cupra is available.

My Cupra is the only car I've owned that I plan on keeping past 3years old. It ticks every box for me!

Would I buy a new one again, yes if they didnt put the poxy electronic handbreak in!
