Wrapping and parking sensors

Hi all,

Hoping I'm posting this in the correct section. Please let me know if I'm wrong!

I've seen plenty of Leons on the forum with the section behind and beside the front number plate having been wrapped in black and I think it looks fantastic. This is probably the first "mod" I'd be looking to do, but having trouble finding information RE parking sensors.

As there is a sensor either side of the number plate, if I wrap this section is there a possibility I could end up driving around with a constant drone from my screen telling me that I'm about to hit a brick wall or might it even render them useless altogether?

Hi Fraser,

I can't say for sure but a friend of mine had this same worry with his Golf but was told by the supplier that it wouldn't be an issue as the sensor essentially 'saw through' the wrap. And his car hasn't been beeping at him since he got the wrap!

I've had mine done for over a year now and never had any issues with the sensors

My ibiza is fully wrapped in black it came like that
