You probably could, but i doubt itll make any real difference?

I had to change mine to YELLOW as after my remap, i was getting surging boost on full throttle through the revs

How do you know if you need a yellow spring instead of a green one? I have a stage 1 P-Torque map and it's running fine and boosting to 21 PSI on a green one.

Mine was dumping on full boost this weekend occasionally so I will be servicing the DV and installing a yellow spring.

21psi on a stage 1 map? - Not likely...

Depends on the map. Mine goes to 23.5psi in 4th, Revo stage 1.

EDIT - actually also depends on car/turbo. Kriso has a 225 LCR, you have an LC so maybe stage 1 on a LC doesn't go that high.

It wasn't, sorry - I posted before to say 21psi is pretty normal for a stage one then realised that you and Kriso have different cars so was just explaining how I'd got confused :)

PMSL... NOW I'm confused... ... what were we talking about?:rofl:

Awesome recommend yellow spring for remapped cars apparently.

LOL :) So the OP was about what colour spring to use for remapped cars, Kriso said his car (LCR 225) was fine on green spring under 21psi boost, you said 21psi was unlikely, I said "no it's not that's normal" then realised you probably meant in LC terms, not LCR so I edited to say that. My bad, don't worry :)

I'm dumbfounded a stage 1 map peaks at 1.58 bar or 23 psi in 4th!!!!! Either that's powerful or mine is seriously under power.

Mine has 281 bhp but I peak at 1.35 bar and hold 1.28 ish.????

Sent from my iPhone when I should be working....

Mine's Revo, your's is Custom Code isn't it? Revo have always been known for a big peak early on, that's kind of their "thing".

EDIT - in any case, 281bhp on a stage one map isn't exactly shabby, some folk don't get that much out of a stage 2. I wouldn't be feeling hard done by if I was you ;)

lol, but i need boost in my life ;-)

Yeah i realise you dont always need big boost to get high power, but im unsure how i got my current figure on a boost curve like that? I apologise if we are going off topic but in 4th mine holds 1.35 is all the way virtually through the rev range.....you say its 'Revo's thing' but the linear map was to corect the high peak readings...no?

The "Linear" option is only the throttle response curve. The stock throttle response map (which isn't touched by most remaps) is logarithmic, in that applying 50% of the throttle pedal total travel may equal 75% throttle valve. The Revo linear map option just changes this so that 50% pedal travel = 50% throttle plate, which makes the car respond much more like a cable-throttle rather than DBW. The boost, fuelling and timing are the same as the regular Revo code of the same version so (in theory) the same car with the same version of the code will make the same figures with or without the linear throttle option.

Look at my graph on page 1, the boost curve there is hardly linear! I like the linear throttle map, it makes the car feel more civilised and predictable driving about in town. It's still bloody quick when I open the taps though.

Actually James at JBS done the same thing with my throttle pedal back in 2007! Full to the floor= full power, as the Custom Code map at the time stated 75% of throttle travel = 100 power. It was easier to drive that way, but i wanted it changed and he did that for me.
