What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Our forum sofware allows us to view statistics on forum activity, such as volume of new registrations and forum activity. This is so we can monitor the effectivness of the forum. Some of these statistics are published on the forum and news website.

We do not share your data with any third party and have taken the decision as of 21st May 2018 to stop using Google Analytics. Please do be aware however that anything you share on our website and forums is publically viewable. It is your responsibility to only share what you want to. We advise members to avoid sharing personal information if at all possible.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a forum post or comment, the comment, post and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Please contact us if you require us to change your username.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
