automatic

So my problem is I've just bought the exeo private and its an automatic, it lurches moving off(won't move til 2k revs then shoots off) and when I come to a complete stop it stalls itself. I've also noticed the gear indicator doesn't show which gear it's in. Any thoughts?

I've noticed on newer Fords (and Jags) that when the car is unlocked via remote, folded mirrors automatically unfold along with the usual courtesy lights coming on. Is this possible on a MK2 Tolly, along with automatic headlights like on newer VAG cars? If so how can it be done?
