What seats will fit?

Just wondering what seats will fit the 6L mk4 Ibiza, as I have come across some s3 and a3 leather seats but unsure if they will fit ?

also if the golf mk4 seats will fit ?

thanks

Anything will fit, with work. If you want bolt-in, then Fabia Mk1 (6Y) and Polo Mk3 (6N or 6N2) are a straight fit as they're the same platform as the Ibiza.

Think they need a bit of flat bar making up with holes drilled.

Its the Polo MK4 (9n/9n3) that is the same platform.

9n3 Polo GTI seats are nice and will fit, but you might not like the fact that they say 'GTI' on them when your car isn't a GTI.

A3/Golf seats wont fit at all. Too wide for car.

All polo interiors are as attractive as a sweaty scot's jock strap.

Go for TT or 996 seats.

MK5 Golf seats will fit, with some modification. There's someone on another forum who's fitting MK5 R32 seats in his 9n3 polo, apparently its a tight squeeze but does work.

Nope, wrong.

Mk4 polo is the 6N
Mk5 polo is the 6N2
Mk6 polo is the 9n
Mk7 polo is the 9n3

Subrframe wise, with no mods, 9n/9n3, or fabia VRs.

But its not very hard to custom fab some subframes up, espcially into the ibiza's, with the simple current subframes

Could also say your wrong, 6N2 and 9N3 are just facelifts of the 6N and 9N. Depends what way you interpret it really, whether you class a facelift as a new 'Mark' or not.
Sure our MK4 6L Ibiza's could really be called the MK3 (they are in some countries), since the MK3 is just a facelift of the MK2 Ibiza.

Also, my point was that its the 9n and 9n3 that are the same platform as our Ibiza's, not the older 6n and 6n2.

Ha on the 'technicalities' when I had a 6n2, parts are on VW systems as mk5, so I'll go with what they say . Same when I've got parts for my 6L, it's been classed as a Mk4, facelift has a different model code, and that's how in (England at least) they classify a new 'mk'

But ye on track, stick to a car with the same chassis, eg the polo and fabia of the same age and you'll have the seats swapped out in 20mins
