New Turbo Pd150

Hi, Just had a new Turbo Installed on my PD150 as the old one Shat itself, put a Garrett Remanufactured one on, ive noticed after a few days of driving, a bit of A Whining Noise thats present ? , all the pipework was left to drip all the old oil out, even drilled a small hole on the bottom of the intercooler for any old oil to drip out! , has been smoking abit due to the oil in exhaust, mainly worried about the Whining noise (not really loud but noticeable) , is it
Normal to have abit of a whine !? Cheers guys

Is it running well? I had a pd115 a few years back with a decat and aftermarket exhaust and it whined a lot, it ran spot on and though, had it for two years with 130k with no issues.

My current CR170 has a much higher pitched whistle/whine and has done it since I got it over 30k miles, again runs great with no issues.

Maybe you were so used to the failing one that once you have one working normal it sound strange.

Ahh i think i am perhaps being paranoid, ive been told some turbos just whine naturally its normal as theyll go on, whereas my failing one was Also whining but louder and then BANG! So it got me thinking! ... mines also Decatted Straight throughout, 2.5 inch System , whistles abit but Makes A really Loud Coo'ing noise on gear changes (Sounds amazing) haha

Yeah the noise off my 170 is largely different from my older pd cars, I had a pd130 with no mods and could barely hear the whine but it was still present.

The current car is more like the highest pitched whistle, maybe a light screech when on the boost. So I'd say it sounds normal, but obviously if you have any concerns keep an ear out for it if the noise changes.

Like the 130 my current cr170 has no mods other than a stage 1 but the whining noise hasn't changed even though the near 30bhp gain and I'm not worried, I enjoy it if anything else.
