Car Making humming & banging kind of noise intermittently

My car has a noise coming from the right side of the engine intermittently and occasionally when driving I can hear like metal rattling, but its intermittent and you can only hear it a low speed and Seat say they can’t see anything wrong, but I can hear the noise on quiet nights & on side street when the music is off.

The best way to describe it would be a like a rough wheel on a pulley.

Recently there has been difficulty moving the car out of Park in will make a small bang and then move freely but this is like once every 3 – 4 weeks.

Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you tested the driveshafts? Go full lock slowly and hear/feel any problems. The shaft opposite the turn direction is the one under stress at that time.

Jack then check the wheels for free play and no bearing wear - push and pull the wheel top to bottom then side to side.

Take the wheels off and look for signs of grease/oil leaking from the CV boots (inner and outer) and the suspension strut.
