Lovely car, but dont forget to take those square stickers off your numberplates the next time you drive it ;)

I can talk, last year i drove a car through central London with the wrong number plates on it ! ... never got stopped once and only realised and panicked on the M25 goping back home ;)

good advice....will do that now....

do you ever use wonder wheels or anything like that to clean them, or just good ol' car shampoo etc...?

have used both and never really noticed the difference unless brake dust is really dried on...then wonder wheels eases it off...

:) I used to use Wonder Wheels, but stopped using it when my alloys started corroding.Think it's pretty acidic.Wasn' t too keen on it getting onto my calipers and discs either.
I just use warm soapy water now.Think you can get much less corrosive cleaners (Muc Off?).

Looks great mate! Really like Ibizas in silver...suits the snow too!

Any plans for it?

yea a few....only had it for 2 days but plan on getting a lcr splitter, pd160 intake and green filter

then next i saw some nice coilovers on awesome gti...for about 300, then perhaps a remap from CC or revo...?

want to start off with some small mods to begin with like splitter and air intake...

what do you recomend?

To be honest with this crap weather and the amount of crud on the roads i am just getting half a bucket of hot water and washing it off asap. My girlfriend thinks i am crazy doing it in the freezing cold but my last Polo s alloys never coroded in 11 years;) it only takes a few mins anyway. Every few weeks i wipe on some autoglym and buff off. Also watch the chrome exhaust ends as i have heard about them flaking within a year if ignored, i rinse them at the same time.

One last thing with the alloys even if you wash them all the time they can still go on the backs and creep around the spokes. So what i did on my FR from new wash to jack it up and wash the inside rims and spokes and carefully coat with a thin layer of clear Waxoyl. They still get crappy on the inside but at least you know there is some kind of a defense, only time will tell if this works.
I did the whole underside whilst it was on ramps as well and found some of the brackets under there were just unpainted steel  But in fairness this was last march and not minus 5 deg so just an idea for when the weather gets better. Good luck.

yea im def considering one..my bro had his done from revo...but ill go to whoever is cheapest i guess...did you get yours done before anything else?

have you done anything else modded yet? really looking at new brakes, 312mm TT ones...seen them on ebay quite cheap...

also a LCR splitter and pd160 intake look likely to be making an appearance soon
