guys, i have a seat alhambra intercooler lying around, looks like pic:
![]() so i was wondering if i added this to the current system will it make any difference? local place near me (custom chrome racing) make exhausts so i can get bends made to make this fit (fingers crossed) thinking about mounting it at the front....

what if i just replaced the oem cooler with the sharan one which (fingers crossed) should fit easily in the front bumper area. i may have to cut the bumper from underneath to give me more access instead of removing the bumper (more time consuming).
i really need to get underneath the car again to have a good look and then see what is possible. |

It doesn't look very big and has plastic end tanks so might not take much pressure?

I would suggest getting a specific aftermarket front mount instead of messing around with that one. The aftermarket ones will have a far greater surface area and be considerably more affective that the sharan one.
Plus the 90degree bends in that intercooler aren't good for air flow. Maximum angle of bend you want achieve if possible on any intercooler pipe work is 45degree |
