So i'm totally new to the whole SEAT scene and i've got some plans for my Mk5 1.4 Silver Ibiza.

It came to me looking like this

All nice and Shiny.
Been thinking about getting a stubby and wind deflectors.
But since my other half is not into the whole Mod Scene i have limited i can do with it.

After a while i Noticed a few bolts missing from it and so i got them from SEAT
Got the Radio fixed as reception was AWFULL :sleepy:

I have had it now for several months and I have noticed the boot lid sits at a slight angle and on the left hand light its slightly further away then the right hand side  going to get that fixed soon.

BUT FIRST CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN :

Before i started

Started with a normal clean water/dirty water wash,
The bonnet had water staying on it which is not too my liking:(

img00060201112131240.jpg

Once i got all that washed off i got some zymól cleaner wax. so started waxing it up.

Found a nice little dent :( next to my door! :censored: door bashers.

img00069201112131341.jpg

And the results from 1 layer of auto glym

img00070201112131343.jpg

2 layers of auto glym later and the car shines happily. (not mirror reflect because it was getting dark and its a silver car anyway)

img00071201112131344.jpg

And Now The De-badge - all we used was hot water and MAN POWER!!!! + a little spray

img00072201112131425.jpg

The Z got broken in the careful removing.

Going to Order some Wind deflectors on Payday :) or i think i might wait for christmas and get them as a present. But the car is still shiny and good.

To get list :

- Stubby Ariel
- Coilovers
- Spacers
- Wind Deflectors
- FR Grille/Debadged
- New Speakers (Stock ones ARE RUBBISH)
- 17'' alloy wheels

Car looks mint mate!! Looks like you have some decent plans for it there too!!

I would put your SCN sticker either above or below the tax disk... I've seen it done, and looks alright...
Good luck with it mate :)

Thanks Jordan, i will put the sticker on the front. I was also thinking about it being vertical along the side, on the front windscreen.

Yeah the car does look mint! :)

cheers

*Update*

The car literally flew though the MOT and Servicing :funk::funk: but it burnt a hole in my already empty pocket.
Cars dirty but will clean it after the winter weather has died.

Need some :help: regarding a few things:

- Aparently its normal for a MK5 boot to sit slightly at an angle (one side a bit further away) is this true?

- Where can i get some Wind deflectors for my car?

- Cheap mods £150-200 worth. Any ideas on what could be done at the moment?

PAY DAY TOMORROW :D
But once again something always goes wrong, and i have been told they might not be paying me for the over time i did before the cut off date. [:@] [:@]

My boot definitely does not sit at an angle?

Wind deflectors, you best bet is ebay I think. I think there called Heko?

£150-200 could do a lot, Depends what you want to do.

FR Grill
Spray the badges and surround
Change the rear wiper for a polo wiper
Bulb upgrades

Theres loads of little things you can do. Or you can just right in and get some lowering springs.

Well i have just ordered some wind deflectors for £32 total off amazon as Char did.
I'm going to search on here how much FR Grilles are, and also i might spray the engine cover, so more updates on the way [B)]

I agree spoiler is a good.mod.
And for the grill talk to David at sere on here. Grill is around 48 inc postage and spoiler is around 95 I believe(not painted)

Bulbs are reasonably cheap and easy to do.
My next mod is getting some lowering springs h&r 25/40 drop :p

40 drop Springs sound good, but speed bumps are all around my area, and to get to work i would have to go a different way (would be too nervous of wrecking the front end)

What about painting the spoiler, can i do that with normal spray paint + all the extra paints?

Deciding now wether to just paint the front grill or buying an FR...

Found this car at my local dealership...

No its a 25 drop at front and 40 at the back :p either going that or around 30 /30

And you could but the finish wouldn't be as good easier to get Bodyshop to do it for around 50.

So all is going well on my car.

Thats better MPG than what I'm currently getting from my TDI! The colder weather and 17" alloys are killing the fuel economy :( plus I'm spending a lot of time on the motorway with cruise control, and in Ireland the speedlimit is 120 km/h which I occasionally "round up" to 80mph ;)

Well, i think i have 17'' alloys and its still like that. cruise control eats your petrol like a

Thankfully got tomorrow off work, so i will pop over to my local (halfords) and have a look at what they have.

Any idea's on things that Seat ibiza 1.4 could have? (from halfords?)

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=326326&highlight=robs+bocanegra
he has a 25/40 drop its on a boc but should be same still :)

I like the 25/40 as it makes it sit level not drag style haha.

I will pros be looking at 25/40 but more likely 25/25 as I carry passengers sometimes and don't want it to bottom out

hahaha, yes i would like a car that drives not sparks driving
thx just checking them out now.
