Custom Inlet Manifold

Hi guys,

Not sure if anyone has looked into custom inlet manifolds for the 1.9 TDI but I've just found an awesome looking one!!!

Where the hell did you find that? Lol And would it be any better than the PD 130/150 job? Apart from looks of course

My thoughts exactly!! Now we need to find someone to:

A. Buy at $290-$350 from America.
B. Fit and Dyno test vs the 130/150PD Inlet Manifold.

I wouldn't care if it didnt give any gains to be honest, it looks so sexy!!!

Cool sounds good, I've still got the asv manifold at the moment and desperately need to upgrade to either the 130/150PD or this custom one, with the mods ive got plus the PD150 Turbo im fitting soon it's going to be needed.

I've just realised what i reminds me of... Looks like a cherry bomb exhaust I used to have mixed with the SDI Inlet manifold!! haha

Why's your torque not higher? Did you go for a lower torque and more HP?

You'll need bigger holes for that turbo too I would've thought.

Manifold wise though I think the PD one is supposed to be as good as anything

I still have the original remap on there which was mapped from the standard 110 to 143Bhp and 256lb ft Torque.

Really needs a custom map job now.

I thought the 0.216 injectors were the standard 150pd size?

The PD is a complete different beast, the .216 were used in the T4 van with a 5 cylinder tdi engine 150bhp though. Has your car been on the rolling road?

Yes it has been on a rolling road and came back with 167 Bhp and 275lb/ft Torque.

Pretty impressive considering that was the VNT-15.
