Cupra R 1.8T BAM, pcv delete - Catch can setup smell?

Hi guys,

Ive recently purchased a stock Cupra R with the BAM engine, the whole PCV system is cracked and broken.

I wanted to know those that run a pcv delete kit into a catch can, do you get any oil vapour smells into the cabin with the windows open or closed? (i did search, but couldnt find a similar topic)

Thanks

Kash

No fumes at all. The crank fumes are drawn back through the turbo via the intake pipe.

Personally i reccomend going the extra mile and sorting the original pcv system out and replacing what needs replacing.

I fitted a catch tank to mine and went back to standard as quickly as I could.

You'll find yourself having to empty it out of water every couple of weeks without fail. Or risk it filling up and water being drawn through the turbo and into the engine.
Especially as winters coming and theres a going to be a lot more moisture in the air.

I love modding cars but that was the worst thing i did to mine.

Go standard and itll last another 15+ years.

Just my opinion of course.

Thanks Rich.

You wouldn't happen to have all the p/n still for the various pipes? My local tps are useless, can't seem to identify the pipes I need on their system.
