iPhone connection lost when connected to car WiFi?

So this is a strange one. All of a sudden I cannot receive WhatsApp’s or use my mobile phone when connected to my car?

To send or receive messages I have to cut off WiFi on my phone.

Phone has had latest 17.4.1 and is still doing same issue.

Car has software 1940 installed

So is the issue Apple or Cupra - both of which are f**** annoying as f****!

Also, as there’s always more than one annoyance, I’m getting a random popping noise from the head unit randomly. Like it’s a speaker noise but from the head unit. This isn’t due to playing loud music I have the sound settings to Talk Radio to cut the boomingness from talk radio shows.

Re-boot the phone? Chances are its got its proverbial panties in a knot and just needs a clean reboot.

Tried that. Even gave both encouraging words of advice and still nothing.

Was worth a try. I'm not into the Apple stuff so can only suggest for Android - WhatsApp needs to be added to the Android Auto App list - I'm sure you have done this already.
