Leon 1m1 1.6 SX VAG code 16688 cylinder 4 missfire.

Last Wednesday evening in the dark and chucking it down with rain , i get the VAG error code 16688 culinder 4 missfire, before this happened the car was running a bit rough, i suspect its coil packs, and possibly plugs, but i need to get this fixed asap dont want to have to rely on busses for work, anyone else had this error code on a mk 1?

Almost always coil, plug or injector.
Faulty coils can look a bit charred at the bottom. Also fish out the spark plug and inspect it if you can.
