Alright all!
Been a member for a couple years, thought I should be a bit more active now..

Well back in 2014 I had this..

53' PD150 Cupra, first car at 18 and didn't last long

9 months later picked up a battered Golf PD115, 180k on the clock but it was just something to use for the time being

Looking back now I'm not keen on where I relocated the plate or the fact I left the recess exposed

Anyway then comes Sept 2015 bought a PD130 Ibiza, abysmal bodywork (laquer peel & ovni yellow fading) but sound engine and box for a price I couldn't refuse so got it the same day

Couple of pics from the advert, the carbon wrapped bits came straight off..

Started looking into plastidipping and found Dipmania in Birmingham, sound guys with reasonable prices and perfect finished outcome Wanted something different as both my first cars were black, so went with a custom mixed matte baby blue

Stayed like this for a couple months, kept it clean etc

Then a night in November parked outside my mums house, and a police woman decided she'd reverse into it denting the rear quarter under the fuel filler

After going through insurance it was written off a Cat C, so now it has a Cat C AND Cat D to its history, basically worth nothing now so I agreed the payout settlement and bought back the car also. Car is now off-road whilst I build it up as a part time project

I've been in a courtesy car ever since, only a couple weeks ago found a 52' Cupra 20vt going cheap with a few mods, engine needed replacing due to bent valves but that'll get done Bodywork isn't too bad, wasn't a fan of the 3SDM wheels so sold them and got back the money I paid for the car :)

Swapped a set of lensos for a decent set of S3 Avus', liking the look of it so they'll be staying

So both cars will be a project for the coming months, looking forward to it and will keep this updated hopefully

And flyeye'd the rear clusters on the Ibiza, looking to doing the headlights too keeping the blue/black theme
