hi i have seat ibiza 2006 ciggarete lighter works only when ignition switch is on. how can i make it work all the time

Change it from ignition live to permanent live.

I dont do this cause i have had too many batteries go flat due to things being left on when on permanent live.

how do i do that? Should I connect it to direct current or is there another way
